Alkermes has its principal solid oral development and manufacturing facilities in Athlone, Ireland. Located on a 40 acre site, with over 200,000 sq ft of dedicated GMP grade facilities, the FDA/EMA licensed facility has a nominal capacity of 2.0 billion unit doses per annum, depending on product configurations. Alkermes’ product development capabilities include formulation development, analytical development, product scale-up, product registration and commercial manufacturing.
