Alkermes has its principal solid oral development and manufacturing facilities in Athlone, Ireland. Located on a 40 acre site, with over 200,000 sq ft of dedicated GMP grade facilities, the FDA/EMA licensed facility has a nominal capacity of 2.0 billion unit doses per annum, depending on product configurations. Alkermes’ product development capabilities include formulation development, clinical trial management, analytical development, clinical trial material manufacturing, product scale-up, product registration and commercial manufacturing.
