JOB TITLE:                         

Production Scientist      

REPORTING TO:               

Production Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:               

Manufacture of Diagnostic Products to meet Production Schedule.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manufacture of IFA/EIA kits as required
• Maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Incoming checks on raw materials
• Monitoring and ensuring adequate stock levels of raw materials and consumables
• Carrying out tasks according to official procedures
• Training of new staff
• CAPA reports/change controls for updates to procedures
• Additional duties in production and other departments as required.

PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:             

• Degree or Diploma in a Biological Science

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS / DEPARTMENTS:

Interaction with QC, R&D and QA

WORK EXPERIENCE:     

• Analytical testing in a laboratory
• Clean room experience desirable
