Technical Senior Software Lead Contract  If you are interested in applying contact  or call 00 353 1 2541314.  Location Dublin Role The role involves the design, implementation, and deployment of significant product-solution programs. The Technical Lead plays a key role in all elements of this life cycle. Coordinating all the technical aspects involved in the deployment process of the customer solution Defining and maintaining the technical documentation of the customer solution Coordinating the various internal groups involved in the definition and the implementation of the customer solution Coordinating and driving a team of Operations Engineers on a technical perspective Coordinating with the Program Manager and the Customer Group Manager responsible for the successful implementation of the customer solution Technical Lead is a senior position within the operational business unit. The role will be predominantly involved in customer facing activities. Accordingly, for this position excellent customer management and communication skills are required. A strong technical background is desirable specifically related to Mobile Telecoms (GSM/GPRS/UMTS/CDMA) and software integration and deployment processes. A strong, high-level understanding of all the various technical aspects involved in the deployment of the customer solution is necessary. What you need to have OSS/BSS Knowledge General telecommunication knowledge is mandatory High-level understanding of GSM/GPRS/UMTS/CDMA architectures Knowledge of radio network parts (GERAN, UTRAN) and packet data parts (SGSN, GGSN, Gn, Gp,…) General knowledge of 2G/3G network components and interfaces (BTS, BSC, NodeB, RNC, MSC, A, Gb, IuPS…) Linux/Unix Advanced Unix/Linux knowledge. Advanced knowledge of Sun Solaris a bonus Advanced scripting knowledge in shell, perl, python… Oracle/SQL General Oracle knowledge. Advanced SQL knowledge Third-party reporting tools Knowledge of third-party reporting tools BO knowledge preferable and a bonus General IT/LAN knowledge LAN integration high-level knowledge (VLAN, Switches, Firewall …) General knowledge of monitoring and O&M processes (SNMP, OpenView…) General Software Delivery Management Knowledge Software Release Management cycle, including internal Quality Control, Change Control procedures with the customer Software Testing and Integration cycles Software Acceptance cycle, including definition of the solution acceptance criteria A must have 5 years plus experience of working in both software telecommunications and software with a predominant involvement in customer facing roles It's a plus if you have To have managed the delivery of both Telecoms n-tier applications and Network Element solutions for customers on a technical perspective Experience in driving/mentoring a small team of Operation Engineers a bonus The nature of the previous roles ideally would have been very much entrepreneurial in spirit with a drive to take on challenges and grow the business, to strive for success and to have exceeded expectations Travel The role involves significant travel, predominantly.
