Systems Engineer
Job Overview: The Systems Engineer is a member of the eBusiness Development Group’s Digital Infrastructure and Engineering Support team that will work across Content Management and related digital technologies and products. The role provides systems administration, change management, and problem management of the application infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Previous experience in application support of Content Management Systems, Portal, Mobile, Web Application Services is a huge plus • Excellent problem solving skills • Proficiency in understanding, analyzing and defining corrective actions from data provided in logs, and traces • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work overtime as required • Provide 7x24 on-call support when required • Provide off-hour problem management and change implementation support. • Able and willing to travel, as this position requires initial travel to the US We would expect the chosen candidate to have 3-5 years in a support function within a large IT organisation. Alongside this the candidate should be experienced in complex business end user & developer support. This role requires excellent communication skills, troubleshooting and the ability to co-ordinate technical support solutions amongst developers, vendors and system engineers. Qualifications:The ideal candidate should have a recognized third level IT qualification and should have 3+ years of experience in the following: • CLI • Java, JSP, J2EE • LDAP • Scripting • Windows, Unix, Linux Server |
