PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES SAP offers its customers a range of remote services which focus on the proactive system diagnosis of their SAP Solution. The purpose of these services is to manage technical risk to ensure optimal performance, availability and maintainability of their SAP Solution. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS The role receives requests from customers and dispatches tasks appropriately within the team. This involves diary management and scheduling tasks to meet customers’ needs in a timely fashion. Improving customer service by service planning and advising customers on what services best suit their needs. Within Service Preparation Team timely technical system preparations are carried out prior to the scheduled services to ensure that system connections work and data is collected from customers systems among other tasks. This involves logging on to customer systems, confirming that data collection programs are running and verifying that a connection can be made from the customer system to SAP. This role is critical to the timely completion of remote technical analysis of customer systems which is carried out by colleagues in the Remote Service Delivery organisation. Additionally the role includes the processing of Customer and SAP internal messages to resolve technical problems that are reported. The role is extremely customer focused. Furthermore the core skills are the basis for transition to Service and Support Consultant- Service Delivery, a highly technical role with the purpose to manage technical risk to ensure optimal performance, availability and maintainability of the customer’s SAP Solution. This will, at times, involve liaising with development, senior support consultants, utilising team work, knowledge databases, and working remotely on customer systems, with a core focus of meeting and surpassing customer satisfaction. WORK EXPERIENCE * Customer service experience an advantage * Experience in a technical support role an advantage EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES This position is based in our Service Support Centre in Dublin where you would be working closely within a multi-lingual team. To succeed in this demanding role, the following is required: * A 4 year Honors Degree in IT/Computer Science/Business with IT/ Maths/Physics/Science or combination of these * Excellent customer focus and communication skills (oral/written) * A strong interest in business applications * Systematical, communicative and creative focus * Problem solving/analytical skills * Flexibility in personal and team work * A positive attitude and outlook * Proficiency with PCs and desktop software * Experience in SAP an advantage * German (or a second language) an advantage |
