Test Engineer Contract Contact Clare at 00 353 1 2541314 or e-mail Location Dublin Duration 6 months rolling contract Role The Senior Solution QA/Test Engineer will be required to contribute to the enhancement and effectiveness of both the QA/QC proc- ess and the quality of the 'end-to-end' solution we deliver to our customers. Key Responsibilities - Responsible for developing test methodology, test plans/specifications & undertaking test execution at various levels. - Understand product enhancements under development, as well as business objectives/ requirements behind the product enhancements and translate into high quality test plans and test specifications, ensuring comprehensive quality assurance testing of the developed solution against the business requirements. - Documentation of new processes and the maintenance of related documents as necessary. - Participate in the troubleshooting of solution defects during the development cycle and for deployed solutions. - Disciplined reporting, tracking, and resolution of solution defects. - Review and recommend enhancements to existing process and tools to improve the team’s productivity in the future. - Involved in Test automation, ensuring that the scripts created are to a high standard maintained and executed regularly by the test team. - Design / Development of internal test tools and utilities. Requirements: - Minimum 5 years experience in a telecoms environment ideally - Working knowledge of development and test life-cycles - Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills - Demonstrate ability to understand complex software functionality - Good familiarity with Unix in particular Solaris and Linux - Excellent scripting skills e.g. bash, perl, awk, PHP etc. - Database experience, writing SQL, using databases, in particular Oracle & MySQL - Experience using and developing test automation tools Degree in Computer Science or Engineering Contact Clare at 00 353 1 2541314 or e-mail Apply Here
