We are currently seeking an Analyst within the Raw Materials team to join our client site based in Co. Cork.

We are currently seeking an Analyst within the Raw Materials team to join our client site based in Co. Cork.

The primary purpose of this of this job is to perform analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials, drug substance, and finished product and produce accurate results within an acceptable timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical testing across a range of techniques (including HPLC, UPLC, GC, and KF) to support Raw Materials as part of the team.
  • Provide analytical support in troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate problem solving in delivering process and analytical understanding.
  • Good understanding of requirements for working in a GMP environment.
  • To review analytical data for GMP compliance
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes.
  • Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice.
  • Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills.
  • To participate in the preparation of reports.
  • To document data as dictated by current client policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that the customer gets the best possible service by continually reviewing best practice in relation to both commercial and quality issues and ensuring 100% ethical work standards and GMP compliance.
  • To perform other QC samples in accordance with customer procedures.
  • To update any relevant documentation when requested.
  • To adhere to all customer standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.

    Experience/Skills
  • A sound, fundamental knowledge of Analytical Chemistry is essential.
  • At least 1-3 years' relevant experience of pharmaceutical analysis, preferably in a development laboratory within a group organization.
  • Good foundation and experience with traditional analytical techniques as well as modern instrumental equipment (HPLC, UPLC, Karl Fischer, IR and UV spectroscopy).Must possess good knowledge of analysis methods and tools.
  • Good understanding of basic chromatographic techniques.
  • Good understanding of Empower 3 Software
  • Ability to work using fully electronic media, including MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a lab environment with some supervision and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
