Key Responsibilities

  • (Oversee and) deliver regular and ad-hoc reporting from current systems and maintain reporting from legacy systems including highly complex reports e.g. Claims trend reports to agreed deadlines
  • (Oversee and) deliver maintenance, development, enhancement and modification of Discoverer reports
  • (Oversee and) deliver ad hoc data analysis and interpretation of data
  • Enhance Data Quality & Integrity within AWC systems
  • Proactively manage own daily, weekly and monthly workflow to ensure key performance indicators and service standards are met
  • Support the wider Operations function through input to and involvement in other projects
  • Understand the data relationships that exist between the business processes, the business systems and implement this knowledge when interpreting the information requirements from the busines
  • Continue to develop technical and systems knowledge, business and insurance understanding, and soft skills and support other team members to do so
  • Operations reference point for all Business Information Management related questions 
  • Creation and maintenance of robust testing, analysis and aggregation of formatted data to ensure data trustworthiness 
  • Ensure all Operations data performance is aligned with key stakeholder data e.g. regional office alignment
  • Manage / Support the coordination of incidents, clarification of user requirements 
  • Document reports and procedures to minimize risk.
  • Project Management support and ownership
  • Actively support other members of the team
  • Responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare within team (please refer to the Company’s Safety Statement for full list of responsibilities).
Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience with extensive knowledge of Management Information Systems (preferably within the insurance/financial services industry) 
  • Proven Management Information reporting experience and Business Analyst skills including:
        - Requirements analysis / ability to interpret users needs
        - Source data analysis
        - Report building
        - Financial reporting 
        - KPI reporting
        - Data consolidation 
        - Data modeling as an integrated model in a common landscape
        - Data Quality and Integrity problem solving 
        - Effective solution delivery
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge of the following tools:
        - SQL
        - MS Excel
        - MS Access
  • Additional experience with the following is advantageous:
        - Oracle 
        - Discoverer 
        - PL SQL
        - Project Management
