Job Title:  Process Safety Consultant

An opportunity exists in PM Group (Dublinoffice) for a Process Safety Consultant to join our team. We would expect the successful candidate to satisfy the following:

•  A qualification in Process/Chemical engineering – chartered or eligible for chartered status
• Experience in process design and plant operations (at least 3 years)
• A good basic awareness of process safety engineering and process safety management
• Keen to learn and interested in expanding knowledge by searching out current relevant standards, ACoPs, regulations etc. and researching the topic being studied in the project (e.g. aerosol filling, hydrogen use, alcohol storage)
• Ability to write well
• Good attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Irish and EU occupational health & safety legislation would be good, but not essential

Experience in some of the following areas critical:

•  Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Reviews
• HAC / EPD
• ATEX
• Seveso II Assessments, Risk Assessments
• Health and Safety Services, Safety Management Systems, OHSAS 18001
• Toxic Dispersion/Fire/Explosion Modelling
• Safety Legislation, Auditing and Training
• Safety Programmes, Safety Statements
• Occupational Health & Safety
• Reliability Assessments
• Emergency Planning
• Fire Safety / Fire Cert Application
• FMEA / FMECA
• Emergency Response Training (Desktop exercises etc.)
• Chemical Reaction Hazards Evaluation
