Practitioner required for The Priory Clinic, Kimmage:

Priory Clinic, Kimmage is a multi-disciplinary private clinic providing physio-therapeutic care to the public for a wide range of soft tissue conditions and injuries. Due to expansion an opportunity has arisen to join this established Clinic with a growing reputation and patient base.

Applicants can expect to work flexible hours and manage their own case load.

In return they should be able to contribute to the strong team and work ethic already established within the group.

The role will suit a therapist qualified to degree level; Athletic Therapists, Sports Rehab., Physio/Physical Therapist, Osteopaths or similar.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Plan, prepare and carry out initial consultation
• Carry out and document a full assessment of presenting problems
• Perform and document initial treatment
• Evaluate the effects of ongoing treatment and adjust as required
• Confer with the patient, other health professionals and family
• Prescribe and demonstrate appropriate home care exercises
• Identify, discuss, agree and document goals of treatment
• Provide information to patient about alternatives when securing informed consent
• Work within the limits of competency
• Refer when diagnosis reveals findings outside of scope
• Support other health professionals and contribute to clinical research
• Contribute to the planning, promotion and management of the clinic and practise
• Promote Clinic and support in-house marketing initiatives
• Answer queries from potential patients
• Update databases and records

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Good Computer/Keyboarding skills are required
• Familiarity required with MS Office Software
• Excellent listening, explaining and communications skills are needed
• Professionalism in all aspects of behaviour is a must

• Maintaining client confidentiality is a must

Salary- OTE 35K

Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum qualification is eligibility to join (and have joined) your professional organisation. 

Experience, particularly in private practise an advantage.  A qualification to degree level is preferred.
