Oracle Retail Technical Support Analyst

A vacancy exists in our Business Applications support team for an experienced Technical Consultant to support our Oracle Retail application suite.

The successful candidate will preferably have Oracle Retail, RIB and Appworx Batch Monitoring experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to build an exciting career in Arnotts supporting ERP applications

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide technical and application support on the Oracle Retail modules – RMS, SIM, RWMS, REIM, ReSa, RIB

·         Monitor and develop batch processes using Appworx

·         Resolve issues and queries in a proactive and timely manner

·         Provide some Oracle DBA support and liaise with third party provider

·         Work on business driven projects from user requirement analysis and mapping through to testing and implementation

·         Support, enhance and develop reports as requested by the user group using Crystal reports. Other BI report development skills for future projects would be an advantage

·         Development of SQL scripts to assist in investigations and support/report writing.

·         Unix and shell script knowledge essential. Development knowledge on some or all of the following required: PL/SQL, Java, JMS, XML, Oracle Forms and BPEL.

Experience, Competencies & Skills

·         Relevant third level education in an IT discipline

·         Excellent technical ability preferably with experience in a retail environment

·         Highly motivated with the ability to perform in a small team environment and liaise with third party support providers

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritise calls

·         Good communication skills, with a focus on clarity of written and verbal communications

·         Flexible and pro-active approach while working in a team environment.
