Our Hiring Manager says:

“We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Senior Software Engineer to join our development team. Our Software Developers are responsible for designing and building all aspects of high-throughput payment systems that allow our merchants to process online payment transactions”.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop highly scalable, mission-critical, n-tier J2EE/Spring applications.
  • Contribute to all phases of software development, design, implementation, unit testing, integration and release.
  • Document detailed component designs based on business requirements.
  • Clearly communicate technical designs, estimates, prioritisation and other development issues.
  • Flexible and effective delivery approach in a fast moving Agile organisation.
  • Mentoring Junior Software Developers in team

What qualities you will bring:  

  • N-Tier J2EE/Spring application design and development.
  • Knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring, JavaScript, JSP, Apache Tomcat.
  • Strong application process flow and problem solving techniques.
  • High levels of software engineering literacy and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and extensive use of common tools used by the engineering group:  version control, change management, automated builds, continuous integration, automated testing modelling etc.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, self motivated, high performing and goal oriented.

It helps if you also are/have:

  • BSc/MSc degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with secure development.
  • Delivering applications using MS SQL 2008 R2 DB.
  • Knowledge of messaging protocols.
