Job Title: Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
Our client requires an I&C Engineer for a role based inDublin
Job Role & Responsibilities:
In this position sustaining and continuous improvement of existing systems is required Accountable for system operations, maintenance procedures, and reliability. Approve all changes for system operations including statistical process control, control limits, CE! & system matching, PM adequacy, job plans and repair quality
- Conceptual design of all new I&C Systems and installations
- Training of personnel, and startup (commission) of new installations and upgrades
- Responding to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur
- Safe system operation, authorise non-routine work being performed on their systems
- Co-ordinate factory impacts of owned utility systems
- Validate manufacturing and/or system changes do not violate utility system capacity, safety, environmental or reliability requirements
- Technical system content expert
- Owns System startup & acceptance testing, matching & differences White Papers & recovery plans
- Own proliferating any major changes to systems/processes/procedures
- Own any small projects which will be necessary to cover any capacity issues, safety concerns or energy savings measures
- Driving these projects and ensuring that the designs and equipment specifications meet the company standards
- Drive cost & energy effectiveness
- Support budget owners by forecasting spends & analyzing vs. actual’s
- Support projects, factory task forces, cross-site teams, cross-discipline teams, Module Teams, Facility Process Transfer, incident resolution, etc. when their systems are involved
- Take ownership as assigned
- Support Technician Training & Certification programs
- Technical support for material, spare parts, supplier issues, service contracts
Qualifications:
- Higher degree or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 4 years experience in ideally all of the following ; the operation, repair and maintenance or commissioning of Instrument & control equipment
- Proven track record in design and installation of Instrument & control systems
- Good working knowledge with a min of 3 years experience of PLC & SCADA distribution systems, automation, quality systems and statistical analysis
- Good analytical and problem solving skills are essential to the successful operation of the air conditioning and exhaust systems.
- Will be required to interface with customers
