Overview:


My client a leading e-commerce company, City Centre, Is looking for an experienced Infrastructure systems Engineer, €D.O.E.


Detailed Description


The client:


Is a leading e-commerce client based in Dublin.

Role:

The Systems Engineer role is in the Infrastructure group but interfacing with a number of internal groups as a service provider as well as external suppliers and support partners.
One particular role that we wish to fill focus’ more on the system administration responsibilities over some of the more technical aspects.


Requirments:

  • Experience with Cisco security devices & F5 BigIP essential,
  • Networking and/or security roles
  •  Microsoft products and technologies incl MS Server, HyperV, ISA, SQL
  • HP Servers, Virtualisation, Storage and Clustering technologies
  • Understanding of software technologies experience of development environment
  • Support experience in a high volume transaction environment ideally financial
  • Participation in on-call support rota
  • Certification to one or more of the following Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCSP), Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA, MCSD), Checkpoint CCSA, CISSP or similar certifications

Experience:

  • Indepth understanding of network protocols
  • Indepth understanding of firewalls and security appliances
  • Systems Administration
    • Managing the F5 environment in multiple locations for load balancing & SSL offload
    • Internal and external DNS management
    • Administration of certificates including managing interaction with external partners
    • Administration of firewalls
    • Website load balancing configuration
  • Troubleshooting of critical systems issues during high-impact events,
  • Troubleshooting of server issues, including operating system and application interaction
  • Troubleshooting of first line issues, including:
    • Certificates 
    • Issues with load balancing and service configuration
    • Network connectivity, security and routing issues
  • Collaboration with external partners for fault resolution
  • Collaboration with software development team to provide design input based on GBE infrastructure
  • Ensure GBE technical and design standards are adhered to at all times
  • Creation of documentation for change requests, operating procedures, knowledge transfer etc
  • Understanding of application environment and software interaction with software engineering teams.
