Job Title: Industrial Waste Engineer
Our client requires an Industrial Waste Engineer for a role based inDublin
Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Role modelling a commitment to safety, quality, environmental and operational excellence at a competitive cost
- Member of the Engineering Functional Teams (e.g. Area Module Team Meeting) – duties involve providing technical direction to maintenance/operations technicians in the day to day running of the plants
- Sustaining and continuous improvement of Industrial Waste Systems (IWS)
- Accountable for system operations, maintenance procedures, and reliability
- Co-ordinate with EHS/Environmental to ensure that systems’ performance meet environmental regulatory requirements
- Monitoring of system performance parameters (through daily trend reviews)
- Own highlighting issues to Corporate Services Operations and working closely with technicians to understand possible root causes and fixes
- Ensure that systems are operating to their optimum efficiency (achieved through setpoint optimisation & plant configuration)
- Safe system operation, authorise non-routine work (SIPP, etc.) being performed on their systems
- Validate manufacturing and/or system changes do not violate utility system capacity, safety, environmental or reliability requirements
- Support operations during incident investigations (e.g. equipment failure or impact to manufacturing) and closing manufacturing impact investigations
- Support technician training and certification
- Accountable for the system operations and reliability including accuracy of supporting documentation (Statement of Operation, Response Flow Checklists, Alarm Limits)
- Approving system operating setpoint changes (through Work Request system or change control)
- Co-ordination of non-routine investigation or system improvement work by carefully documenting and agreeing procedures upfront
- Ensure that the system capacity models are accurate and there is redundancy available and the system is configured per company specifications
- Own any Facilities Work Request projects which will be necessary to cover any capacity issues, safety concerns or energy savings measures
- Own driving these projects with the site projects group and ensuring that the designs and equipment specifications meet the company Standard
Qualifications:
- Completed City & Guilds Part 3, plus 3 years experience or equivalent is required
- Working knowledge of Industrial Waste Systems and be knowledgeable of operation, design & construction practices
- Working knowledge of inorganic/industrial chemistry
- Must have a working knowledge of instrumentation and pneumatic controls
- Good engineering and problem solving skills are essential to the successful operation of the air conditioning and exhaust systems.
