We are currently seeking to strengthen our Dublin based team.
Duties and Responsibilities
With access to an unrivalled database of insurance transactions, this position will involve the design, development test and implementation of reports and analytical outputs for senior management use
Key tasks include:
- Working from a number of internal and external data sources, collaborate with senior management to design, develop and run reports on a regular basis according to a defined schedule
- Analyse data in order to effectively interpret and present information, and confirm usability and overall quality of outputs
- Take ownership of key stakeholder relationships, driving through the implementation and ongoing management of reports and analytical outputs
Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in relevant area (mathematics / statistics / computer science / management science) – Post-graduate qualifications in related disciplines an advantage
Experience:
Experience working as a Data Analyst, ideally in a financial institution. Insurance experience an advantage
Technical Skills:
• SQL Server: SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• SPSS
• Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
• Cognos Reports
Other Skills and Attributes:
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal skills, self-starter with the ability to work independently and think creatively
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work within a team with only rough guidelines as to our objectives
- Willingness/drive to actually implement solutions rather than scope them.
