MAIN JOB FUNCTION
The BDC Team Leader is responsible for:
1.The generation of new business by the office based sales team.
2.The generation of sales leads for the corporate sales team.
3.The development of new business from the account management team.
This is to be achieved by:
A. Managing and directing the activities of the BDC team to ensure that the company's sales activity targets are achieved on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
B. Motivating the BDC team to achieve their personal performance targets.
C. Generating quality sales leads for the corporate sales team.
D. Generating quality prospects from the leads supplied by the account management team.
E. Ensuring that the companies "quality of sale" standards are met by all the members of the BDC team in all of their business activities.
The BDC Team Leader will set and agree objectives with the Corporate Sales Manager. Those objectives are to be achieved through planning, organising, coordinating and measuring.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Detailed knowledge and experience of managing an office based telemarketing team.
Thorough knowledge of the telemarketing sales processes.
Up-to-date knowledge of telemarketing legislation and trade practices.
Knowledge and experience of the travel industry.
Knowledge and experience of Sage CRM software.
Excellent working knowledge of the following programs (word, excel, access, acrobat and PowerPoint).
Ability to lead and motivate an office based sales team.
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with subordinates and senior company managers.
Ability to organise clerical work, administration, control systems and human resources.
Leadership and coaching attributes.
Experience and knowledge of modern business methods and financial control. Skills in using this knowledge in a practical way.
Fluency in a major European language would be a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
