We are now recruiting for Android Developers to join our pioneering Real-time Ridesharing team in the idyllic surroundings of Kinsale, Ireland. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced start-up environment, help to drive ongoing product iteration and thrive in the development of world-class Android applications that embrace the unique strengths of the Avego platform.

What the job is about:

• Development of Avego’s pioneering Real-time Ridesharing applications for Android
• Creation and maintenance of functioning and testable code
• Support of testing by QA and other groups
• Liaison with other development teams and product management

What we’re looking for:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Ideally 1-2 years of developing applications for Android (including successful publication of apps in the Android Market)
• Some experience of working within an agile development framework
• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks, Android SDK
• Experience interacting with server-side REST API’s
• A passion for mobile device technologies
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Eligibility to live and work in Ireland
