IrishJobs.ie provides you with access to approximately 16,000 jobs advertised by over 800 recruiters. To ensure you find the jobs relevant to you both efficiently and quickly please read the following job search tips.
To clearly outline the IrishJobs.ie job search we will look at the following 3 sections.
The most popular way to search for a new job is by using the homepage search
To begin your search, simply select your preferred recruiter type. You have 3 options.
Then select the industry sector you want to work in (we have 28 categories in total) and your preferred location.
Example : if you want to search for marketing jobs based
in Cork but advertised by corporates only then select
Recruiter type : Employer. Category : Marketing. Location : Cork.
Inserting a relevant key word(s) can help refine your search greatly. You should insert words or phrases that you would expect to see in the job title or job description. As you begin to type your keyword a prompt box will appear.
This prompt box lists relevant keywords, as taken from the job title and description posted by the recruiter. The more popular keywords will be positioned at the top of the list. It is up to you which keyword you wish to select.
It is also possible to create your own keyword and search for relevant jobs.
Example : if you are looking for a job in the area of SAP Consultancy,
you will get more specific results if you insert the key words, SAP Consultant,
rather than just inserting the word SAP on its own or the word Consultant on
its own. If you are looking for a job as a Web Developer, you will get more specific
results if you insert the key words, Web Developer, rather than just the word
Web or the word Developer on their own.
For more specific results you should tick the box (positioned under the keyword search) marked
"match the exact key word(s)".
Once you have completed your search on the homepage you will be presented with a list of jobs relevant to your search.
From this list you can either
